With skin cancer becoming more and more widespread (or maybe just discussed more often), it is important to take precautions with your skin. For most however feeling washed out in the summer is not an option.
If you are looking to protect your skin but still have a glow, check out some inexpensive self-tanners that go on without streaks and do not leave an orange tone. All of these self- tanners are in lotion form which tends to look better in the opinions of most.
Jergens Natural Glow Firming Daily Moisturizer
Jergens is just a lotion that goes on very easily and gradually gives the skin a bronzed look. What is great about this product is that it is not greasy and does not leave streaks. The tone looks like a tan from the sun. This particular self-tanner also has a daily facial moisturizer so that your skin is the same all over and regular body lotion does not need to be used on the face. Jergens was one of the first companies to create a self-tanning lotion and being as such they have had time to do in depth research. The cost makes it exceptionally affordable at between $6-$8.
Banana Boat Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion
As one of the experts in summer products, Banana Boat decided to also make self-tanning products which is probably a nice addition to their tanning lotions and sunscreen. This offers those looking for a tan but without the UV an option from one of the leaders is summer tanning. This product is excellent. It does not leave any streaks and gives off a nice glow. For about $7 each it too is worth the money.
L’Oreal Sublime Glow Daily Moisturizer
This product has received many great reviews. It like the Jergens Natural Glow creates a gradual tan rather than an instant one making it seem more natural. The major complaint from everyone on this one is it tends to be more watery than the Jergens brand. This self-tanner can be purchased for about $10. At this price it is well worth the money.
Neutrogena Build a Tan Gradual Sunless Tanning
Neutrogena is a leader in skincare. With all of their lotions and skincare products, it is easy to trust the name when looking for a self-tanner. This lotion like the others allows for a gradual tan that looks natural and streak-free. For about $8-$10 a bottle, it is worth a shot.
So there you have it: three inexpensive but worthwhile self-tanners for those of you looking for a glow without baking in the sun. All three of these can be purchased at most drugstores or online. My personal favorite is Jergens.
