My Review of Clarisonic Skincare Brush

My friends have been raving about the Clarisonic Skincare Brush. I had never heard about this beauty tool, so I decided to do some research. Everything I read about this skincare brush sounded too good to be true. I was a little skeptical if this little machine could really make my skin look healthier. I was even more curious when I read that it removes makeup much more effectively than regular methods. I purchased my Clarisonic Skincare Brush from Sephora and waited eagerly for it to arrive. I have never purchased an electronic beauty tool for my face so I was anxious to see if it really worked.

Clarisonic Skincare Brush came with three one ounce tubes of cleanser. They are Refreshing Gel Cleanser, Nourishing Care Cleanser, and Hydrogel Cleanser. When I used my brush for the first time I used the Nourishing Care Cleanser. I was so surprised at how well this Clarisonic Skincare Brush worked. I have never used any cleansers by Clarisonic and they work exceptionally well. After just one use of my skincare brush, my face looked dramatically different. It was like my skin was much cleaner than usual. I think that this product works really well to remove the makeup that is deep in the pores. I used this just one time and my skin was absolutely radiant.

I do not have normal skin. I have sensitive, oily, and dry skin. I was surprised that the Clarisonic Skincare Brush did not irritate my skin at all. This wonderful brush was surprisingly gentle on my skin and worked very powerfully to get rid of the dirt on my face. The condition of my skin has greatly improved while using this skincare system. I was only mad that I did not buy this sooner. This is like getting a spa quality facial in your own bathroom. I cannot say enough good things about the Clarisonic Skincare Brush.

I think this works even more effectively when I use it with my regular face cleanser. The Clarisonic cleansers do not really foam up very much, and I like lather because I feel much more clean and fresh. I even use my Clarisonic Skincare Brush with moisturizer to polish my face and even it out. I have recommend this product to other women. This is fabulous for helping with any skin condition on the face. My skin has improved tremendously and I will continue using my fabulous brush.

Skin Product Review: Bliss Steep Clean Mattifying Toner Pads

Oily and acne-prone skin is an extremely common skin type. In fact, I am one of the many people who have skin like this. I am constantly washing my face, using toner, and applying oil-control moisturizer just to keep my acne and oil production under control. If you’re like me, you’ve tried many skincare products. And by many I mean somewhere around 100 or so. While I love experimenting with and trying new skincare products, very few have actually delivered what they promise. For me and other people with oily and acne-prone skin it’s important to find a product that works. If you use products that don’t work on your skin type you’ll end up with even worse skin, which in my case means extremely oily and broken out skin.

One important part of every skincare routine is toner application. Toner helps remove dirt and debris that cleansers can leave behind. It also can help dry out acne-prone skin and remove oil. So the moral of the story is that toner is essential if you have oily and blemish-prone skin. For a while now I’ve been searching for a good toner. A lot of toners help get rid of my oil problem, but many of them end up drying out my sensitive skin (my chin area especially). This time around I wanted to find a good toner that would really help control my acne and oil while still helping my skin retain its moisture.

My favorite skincare website is BlissWorld.com, which is Bliss’s (a great skincare brand) main website. They carry their own skincare products and also the products of other high-end and high-quality brands. I love shopping at Bliss because they have tons of great products. So when I needed a new toner I immediately went to Bliss. I searched for toners and stumbled across the Bliss Steep Clean Mattifying Toner Pads, which is for all skin types, but especially oily and acne-prone skin. According to Bliss, the Bliss Steep Clean Mattifying Toner Pads help decongest pores and reduce inflammation while gently exfoliating to help prevent acne from appearing. In addition, the toner pads hydrate skin and control oil without drying skin out. It seemed like the perfect product, so I decided to try it out. I purchased the Bliss Steep Clean Mattifying Toner Pads directly from Bliss for $38.

When I received the Bliss Steep Clean Mattifying Toner Pads, I immediately wanted to try them out. To use toner properly you have to wash your face with a cleanser and then apply the toner. After washing my face, I patted it dry with a washcloth and then opened the container of the Bliss Steep Clean Mattifying Toner Pads. I took one toner pad out and began to swipe it over my face, focusing on my most oily and acne-prone areas. I spent about a minute wiping it over my face and when I was done my face instantly felt cleaner. After a week of using I noticed my acne was disappearing and my oil production was way down. I was extremely happy with the results.

Over all I would rate the Bliss Steep Clean Mattifying Toner Pads a 5/5. They’re a great way to incorporate a toner into your skincare routine. I would highly recommend this Bliss toner pads for anyone with acne-prone and oily skin. It definitely helps clean your skin without completely drying it out.

Review of Olay Regenerist Skincare Products

Olay is a trusted name in skincare with products that are not only designed to help us look our best but also help keep our skin healthy. Our skin is our body’s natural barrier to the environment; however, our skin then suffers the abuse from sun, the environment and, unfortunately, ourselves. When we do not take care of ourselves, it shows on our face because our skin is an indication of our overall health. No matter how well we take care of our skin the effects of age and the environment will ultimately damage our skin. Olay’s Regenerist line of products is designed to improve skin’s appearance by increasing the skin’s ability to regenerate the outer layer thus giving you the appearance of younger looking skin. The combination of amino acids, antioxidants and vitamins are good for my skin and for the price, Regenerist is a pretty good anti-aging product.

Regenerist cleansers are designed to exfoliate, cleanse and moisture skin. My favorite is the Regenerist Deep Hydrating Mousse Cleanser because of how wonderful my skin feels after using it. If you are using a treatment, the Regenerist Micro-Purifying Foam Cleanser is better to use because it cleans deep down into pores so that you get the most out of your facial treatment.

Because moisture is essential to any good skincare product, Regenerist has several different moisturizing products to choose from depending on your exact needs. Because women do not have the same skin, Olay has several Regenerist products that provide excellent moisture for skin but are slightly different to meet the needs of many different women. I use the Regenerist UV Defense Regenerating Lotion SPF50 during the summer because it is a great moisturizer that protects from sun damage.

My favorite products in the Regenerist line are those that target specific needs. I like that Olay provides quality anti-aging and skin protecting products that are affordable enough to use every day. The Regenerist Eye Make-up Remover combines a great makeup-up remover with an anti-wrinkle eye treatment for a 2 in 1 product. I use the Regenerist Regenerating Serum under my foundation each day – – it gives my skin a smooth texture that makes applying my foundation easy (and it looks great). In addition, if you need an intensive treatment the Regenerist 14 Day Skin Intervention will give you visible results by reducing wrinkles, strengthening skin and improving appearance.

Olay’s Regenerist products are available at drug stores and discount stores (Walgreens, CVS, Target, Wal-mart, etc.) and range in price from $6 to $24 depending on the product. For the money, this skincare product cannot be beat. Only one word of caution, these products may be too strong for very sensitive skin so you may want to look for samples (try www.Olay.com) or consider buying products with friends to share samples. My friends and I had a skincare party where we all purchased one product, researched it and brought it to the party to make samples for everyone. This was a great way to try Regenerist products to see which ones were the best for each of us.

MD Skincare All Over Blemish Solution: Review

For more than a year whenever I get any blemish, whether it’s a small zit or a humongous pimple I always make sure to apply Clean amp; Clear’s Advantage Acne Spot Treatment in order to treat it. But I always love to try new beauty products, so when I received a sample of MD Skincare’s All Over Blemish Solution, I was all over it and couldn’t wait until I got a new pimple so I could try it out. As if on cue a new pimple sprang up within days of me receiving the MD Skincare sample. The pimple that appeared on my chin was one of those painful red ones that’s under the skin. It was the kind of pimple that takes forever to come to a head so when I applied the All Over Blemish Solution to it I didn’t expect a dramatic result right away.

But a couple of hours went by and when I felt the pimple I was shocked to feel that the soreness had disappeared. So had a lot of the swelling. The bump was still there but the pimple wasn’t red anymore. So basically the MD Skincare All Over Blemish Solution sped up my zit’s healing process by about 2 or 3 days.

Since I had such great results I kept using the All Over Blemish Solution on that pimple for the rest of the week. Unfortunately the blemish never decreased much in size after that first day, and it never came to a head either. So I had a small bump under my skin for about three weeks until it finally came to the surface. When the bump finally surfaced it was back to the size it had been initially. So that pretty much sucked and it defeated the whole purpose of me using the Blemish Solution.

I’ve since used the MD Skincare All Over Blemish Solution on smaller pimples, and it’s been very effective for knocking out redness and pain. It’s also helps to reduce the initial size of most of them by 50% until the pimple heals completely.

I really love how gentle it is. The first ingredient in the Clean amp; Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment is alcohol, it smells like alcohol and when it’s applied to a pimple especially one that has broken skin it burns slightly. But the MD Skincare Blemish Solution has the same feel as Smashbox’s Primer, it feels like Vaseline but without the greasy feel, so it isn’t drying or irritating to the skin.

This product is quite pricey, a 1.7oz. tube costs $84. I would recommend this treatment for anyone who wants to see an immediate difference in large pimples, and wants to prevent them from starting in the first place. I also think the MD Skincare All Over Blemish Solution would be a great acne treatment for those with sensitive skin because it won’t cause any irritation or dry out your skin. But let’s face it if you have normal skin you can get the same results for less than $10 with the Clean and Clear Spot Treatment. I give the Blemish Solution 4 out of 5 stars.

Beauty Product Review: RareMinerals Skin Revival Treatment

When I first found out that Bare Escentuals was coming out with a night time skincare, I was so ecstatic. I was already a big fan of their make up line, bareMinerals, so just imagine my excitement when I heard this great news. I was using Patrica Wexler’s night cream then and I wasn’t at all happy with it because there were times when I started breaking out but there were times when I didn’t. Plus I didn’t really notice any big changes with my complexion after months of using her product. So when I learned that they had this product, I immediately ordered it. It is a little pricey but it is worth the $60. Just like their make up line is worth every penny.

This very first mineral-based night time skincare worked wonders for me. After my first week of using it, I started noticing changes in my complexion and now I have the skin I’ve always wanted. I read on www.bareescentuals.com that this product was clinically proven to visibly reduce pores, brighten complexion, give sofer and smoother texture, reduce find lines and wrinkles, lessen redness of skin, and provide cleaner and firmer-looking skin. Well they were right! My husband even started noticing the changes in my complexion. At first, he was wondering why I started wearing make up to bed. I had to explain to him the whole thing. That it’s not makeup. It may look like it but it’s not. This night time skincare mineral-based so it doesn’t make your skin oily like many night time creams do. You also get to choose from four (4) different shades to match your skin (clear, light, meduim, and tan).

This product is available at www.bareescentuals.com and www.sephora.com. You can also visit a Bare Escentuals store and Sephora and purchase it from there. It is $60. A bit pricey, but like I said, it is worth every penny! I would pay even more if I had to. That’s how great this product is. I recomment this to those who have had a chance to try Bare Escentuals products and even for those who haven’t. Try it and I’m sure you will love it the same way that I do. This product has no preservatives and zero irritants just like Bare Escentuals’ make up line, bareMinerals. I’ve been using this for months now and I will never go back to any other night time creams.

Aquafina Advanced Hydration Wrinkle Release & Sealer Skincare: Review

When I first caught glimpse of the Aquafina logo staring back at me down the beauty section isle, I was wondering if I got lost, was I down the wrong isle?

I immediately associated the name Aquafina with bottled water. I was not expecting to see the logo in the beauty section at all.

Due to the fact that Aquafina seemed to of gotten lost in the beauty section, I was of course intrigued. What the heck is Aquafina doing down here?

I then began to think of Aquafina, and how it’s logo is usually on bottled water… I wondered, would this Aquafina stuff be like hydration for my skin, like a drink for my thirsty dry skin? Perhaps.

I went for Aquafina Advances Hydration, Wrinkle Release amp; Sealer. I turned the adorable box around and read the details. I was shocked at the bold promise of visible results in just one hour! Now in my years of buying products with bold promises such as this, it usually meant one thing. Rip-Off!

Results in one hours time! Yeah, okay… whattyah take me for, an idiot? Nothing works in just an hour. Not even Lipo.

Guess I’m an idiot, because I walked out $5.00 poorer. I guess though it’s not such a bad thing. Usually this stuff sells for $14.00 elsewhere. Walmart had a $5.00 special clearance section… and Aquafina Advanced Hydration Wrinkle Release amp; Sealer happened to be in the clearance section. Seeing how Aquafina Advanced Hydration Wrinkle Release amp; Sealer is also new to the market… it most likely meant bad things.

Usually if a product lands a spot in the clearance rack so quickly, it most likely means it sucks. But I am… the worlds largest sucker… so I bought it up anyway.

The Packaging:

Aquafina Advanced Hydration Wrinkle Release amp; Sealer packaging screams bottled water… only it’s in a cardboard rectangular packaging, with a small hallowed window where a little bottle of lotion in a jug sits.

The package itself is a metallic colored blue, which is really pretty, and eye catching. It also has Aquafina’s signature logo at the top.

The Promise:

Besides the very bold ‘one hour results’ promise. Aquafina Advanced Hydration Wrinkle Release amp; Sealer also promises to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and the texture of skin. Using Aquafina Advanced Hydration Wrinkle Release amp; Sealer also will supposedly help reduce puffiness. Did I mention… in just an hour?

Yeah, yeah, all this, in an hour.

My Use:

I unscrewed the lotions lid, and began applying the lotion to my face. I noticed that it had no scent, which was sort of disappointing. I have always enjoyed a nice scent to go with my facial lotions. Aquafina Advanced Hydration Wrinkle Release amp; Sealer though, had none.

The lotion has a decent texture, and I especially liked how it didn’t leave behind any sort of nasty greasy residue. It absorbed quickly, and all was well.

I was actually counting the minutes while using this one. I couldn’t wait to see if there were results in an hour. I watched an episode of Maury, and found out ‘he was NOT the father’. I then checked my face.

Err… everything pretty much looked the same. However because I was ‘expecting’ results, I began to imagine I saw results. I couldn’t go by the first test. I was too excited about it working. I had to wait again and test it the next day to see if the one hour results were legit.

Day 2, and I could tell my skin was the same. One hour before I put it on, and one hour after putting it on.

Of course I had been taken…

Where To Find:

I have only spotted Aquafina Advanced Hydration Wrinkle Release amp; Sealer at Walmart so far. I am sure though this stuff is being sold in drug stores as well. I recommend you purchase something else though.

Aquafina needs to stick to bottling water.
